The emoji tag search is working if you use the emoji browser. (The smiley button)
The search is like a badly sorted library though. With meta data of the icons the search could become semi workable till our emojis exceed the storage capacity of the Earth.
Freeanotherday showed me that in fact does search tags. You just have to type in words semi correctly.
