Do parents have the option to not send their kid to school, like do they get a truancy violation or some shit?

in my district parents can choose 1.) send their kid to school like normal basically
2.) normal school hours, and with your normal teachers but its all through zoom
3.) seperate online school, work at your own pace thing
from what ive heard a lot of them are just sending them back though
