It’s clear that the Cuban/Miami shift massively fucked up democrats. D+6 districts flipped down there. It’s also very possible that the results throughout long island are a direct result of the cop shit.
I don’t really think the results anywhere else can be explained by anything other than how well any particular representative did at building that comforting sort of relationship with members of their districts. The swing seat dems that won by strong margins clearly did so by doing the above.
If anything I’m more convinced now than ever that a winning message (emphasis on message because what you do doesn’t actually matter) is culturally moderate but with a clear left economic message.
