The Lincoln Project raised $4.8 million between November 24th and December 16th hyping the Georgia Senate runoff elections.

Since then, it has spent $1.1 million on independent expenditures in those races and paid Steve Schmidt $1.5 million.

Same reason Pete Buttigieg is a thing. He’s just got an army of stooges out there repeating “Pete is a genius! Pete is a great guy! Pete is a successful politician!” over and over again on any platform that will host him.

TLP ads weren’t special. They were the same dreck churned out every two years. They just got absurd amounts of coverage.

Eh, I disagree with that. TLP ads completely lacked any kind of substance, but they were looked really good, and they were directed and narrated really well. Their production team is significantly more talented than your average schlocky attack ad producers.
