I’m yet to be convinced it’s not useless. As a non American Arab it’s all BS to be anyway. I already have an FBI guy, a CIA guy and an NSA guy and I’ll be treated the same by the local PD guy if I visit.

If you’re trying to plan about how to engage with institutions you’re opposed to, understanding the details about how they work and the people that make them up is useful.

Institutions are complex, in some circumstances all of them are going to respond identically, there the distinction is useless. But when they respond differently you should understand how and why, because it is useful then.
