From the wikipedia article about the movie: “Pitt later visited China in 2014 and 2016.”, so he isn’t even banned lol
Fun fact, the book 7 Years in Tibet was written by the Dalai Llama’s good friend Heinrich Harrer, famous mountain climber and former sergeant in Hitler’s SS who never saw justice for his crimes.
I wonder if the movie makes any mention of that, 'cause the wikipedia article sure as hell doesn’t
His own wiki article only has 3 lines dedicated to ‘Nazi Involvement’, and just kind of glosses over how one would:
a. Become a fucking NCO in the Nazi army as an SS MEMBER.
b. How he and his fellow climbers were received and photographed with fucking Hitler when scaling a mountain.
It also kind of glosses over that he joined the precursor to the SS before later joining the SS. You know, just something you would ACCIDENTALLY do a couple times.
Dalai Lama’s tutor
white guy
You mean cia handler?
Didn’t he play Heinrich Harrer, the Nazi explorer who befriended the Dalai Lama?
I’m sorry, is this a movie where the literal SS member is portrayed as having been good, actually? And China is portrayed as evil for going against the guy who is literally being advised by a Nazi?
One of these things is not like the other
Don’t tell my mom this but Miley sucks and I hate her played out bad girl shtick. So it’s good to know she’s a racist asshole too.
This is paradoxically why I loved the album Miley Cyrus (& her dead petz) because I thought it was a surprisingly candid example of her being her own kind of weird in the vein of Shia Lebouf (who’s work I have been a massive fan of since his crisis of identity or w/e you want to call it.) A break-away from the break-away if you will.
