Passwords? I assume no. This + my boundless laziness made me switch back to Chrome after trying FireFox.

It’s Google’s way of controlling how we access the web so I’m against it.

Firefox isn’t the only alternative (though it is the most obvious, and has few major drawbacks)

Isn’t it more accurate to say they run on khtml? The engine in konquerer and developed by kde group?

Chromium isn’t just Blink, the renderer (which was forked from WebCore, which was forked from KHTML). It’s also V8, the JavaScript engine, which was developed as part of the Chromium project.

i currently use qutebrowser mostly because of the keybindings and compact style, though i would like to switch to firefox. is there any way to customize firefox to look like qutebrowser?

I know there’s a few popular vim based navigation extensions, I don’t use them much so here’s a list (fandom link) that you can check out yourself. In terms of compactness firefox can get really compact with userChrome theme (no relation to the browser chrome lol) like this or like this. I hope this helps a bit. for more info on userChrome theming check out /r/firefoxcss Also firefox has a compact mode which is pretty nice.
