Cant deny that Roman was being an absolute ass. But goddamnit he’s just 21 too. Is he an adult? Yes. But that doesn’t mean you pin the blame on him. Ffs. It’s the police that shot and killed Toledo, an unarmed 13 year old boy. Not Roman, who is himself a victim of the situation. Like, article tries to make Roman appear as this evil immoral monster without realising that the systems that led Toledo down probably also did the same to Roman and countless other young black people. Like wtf.
remember, Black people cannot be human., they must exist as the ultimate contrast to the idea of white skin humanity. I can’t think of any other way to extract wealth and labour out of human beings to the extent that chattel slavery did with Black people without perpetually denying their humanity.
