I bought the Orange Box back in 2007-8 and it did annoy me how I felt like I was missing out by not playing a game that wasn’t included (HL1) when playing Half Life 2

It’s not really a problem in practice, since all multigenerational story-based video games are trash except for metroid

This is why I don’t get people hating zelda games for each being their own thing. There are only like 6 that are direct prequel or sequels. This means you can play any of them at any time and not miss too much no matter what.
