Cuz like, your little baby doesn’t want to sit in long air flights and hotels. It wants to chill out and get some security. It can’t even enjoy the places the parents are taking it. People I see taking babies on big holidays are all pmc ghouls anyhow and that’s definitely colored my perception.

Sorry if I wasn’t specific. There’s nothing wrong with driving for a few hours to the ocean or something.

Yeah I really want to take my cat to the beach this summer but she hates the car, she doesn’t like strange places and she doesn’t like to be around people she doesn’t know. It will suck to have to spend a week apart, but it will ultimately cause much less stress for her. I know a pet’s not quite the same, but I think it’s important to consider these things for any creatures that can’t voice their own discomfort.

I mean long airflights for babies are bad for sure, yeah. With hotels it kind of depends I guess.

Babies (and their parents) should fuck off to their own little world until they’re ready to enter the world without screaming and crying everywhere

Emily Ratajkowski is a model who’s been pretty outspoken about female sexual empowerment, and has done some writing about the politics of self-expression and ownership of images of the female body. She’s a pop-feminist who pisses some people off because she’s hot and mostly posts selfies, but also takes criticism for working within a system of exploitative image-making (she was mainstreamed after Robyn Thicke’s Blurred Lines video, where she appeared nude). She’s advocated for Bernie.

She recently had a kid, and has continued to take photos throughout the pregnancy as a form of body positivity while talking about the import of her son maintaining control of his own social media identity. This photo was posted a couple days ago and is funny because her kid looks like a sack of potatoes while she’s voguing. This meme is a pisstake on weird twitter dudes who analyse people’s posture on group photos to determine who’s the upright dominant “sigma male” (who are like, better than alpha) and who’s the subservient beta who’s leaning in. Hope this helps.
