I hung out with the goths but I couldn’t be arsed to do any of the styling. They were just very into Tim Burton, menthol cigarettes and HIM in my experience.

I was in school during the emo times, so you either had that or trenchcoat creeps who liked Marilyn Manson too much. I got to feel cooler cause I was punk as fuck (still am, just no one cares now).
