Seriously it’s bad. Like I get the point is the characters are shitheads but still…
It honestly gets a lot better. It also gets a lot more sensitive to those issues, one character does end up not being straight.
Skip to season 2 or 3 it’s wayyyyy better later on when the characters are more fleshed out
not wrong, all I can say is the show does improve in this regard from 2005
i like the show but i genuinely don’t think i could rewatch the first season today. iasip is always kind of edgy, but they didn’t even have a point to try to make at the start. no danny devito either.
Would I be missing anything good if I skipped to season 2? So far the show is not clicking for me and if season 1 is kinda meh then that would explain it.
I don’t think so personally, there’s not a lot of serialization going on, but someone who’s seen the first season more recently might remember if there are any good ones.
They’ve apologized for it because its so bad, despite being fully edgey comedy people. It really sticks out. They return to the character and its a little better, but still iffy
