Butch woman here, can confirm. I’ve defskies had more karens pointedly ask me if “I belong here” in the women’s restroom in the last couple years than ive ever had dudes trying to shoo me out of the men’s room which I used to occasionally use when the women’s room line was too long.
Whole thing is fucked up, I’m at least glad that if they’re gonna be transphobic garbage at someone they do it to me, that way I can shut em down and make em feel like shit for asking so they don’t feel the need to ask people who’d actually be hurt by it

Maybe they found real numbers but I wouldn’t be surprised if a rise is because a policy like this garnered attention, which put Karens on edge, which made them report anyone they suspected of being trans in the bathrooms
I had a look at the study and it was just a bunch of loser scientists literally googling articles with ‘Target’ and ‘sexual’ and finding out that there were 3 articles about peeping toms in 2016 and 6 in 2017 after the policy change, accounting for the 190% increase.
