no you see it’s pragmatic to do barely anything about climate change for decades. It’s pragmatic to create record breaking wealth inequality and allow the rich to act as unaccountable demi-gods. It’s pragmatic to continue extorting and pillaging the global south for resources on behalf of a handful of rich fucks. These are just smart things that we do because they are such good ideas. They definitely will not create larger, more urgent problems that will be more difficult to solve in the future.
