for those who do not want to be exposed: they’re calling cracker a slur and talking about how you can be racist against white people. cracker as in whip-cracker. the reason the N-word is so bad is that it’s a reminder of the systemic brutality that was inflicted on the enslaved african americans for centuries. whites buttmad that they’re being reminded that they were the slaveowners

This is one of my most-hated trends that I constantly see online now. Dumbass mother fuckers complaining about racism against whites and sexism against men. There’s no trying to make them realize how braindead their takes are, they’ll just double and triple down. :agony-consuming:

The only useful thing I learned from that thread is that LSF is the 8th largest sub on :reddit-logo: . What the fuck??? Who willingly browses a sub that is basically just drama between parasocial e-celebs and weird gamer cringe? God that website fucking sucks.
Also I don’t know exactly how to put this but this is a perfect example of how your average suburban American teenager’s understanding of racism begins and ends with racial slurs because it is the only form of it that they are exposed to on a somewhat regular basis (even if it is not directed at them). Other more sinister experiences that exist due to systemic racism just aren’t felt and they had to commodify the one aspect that was, which is why we were treated to half a decade of n-word pass memes (the worst fucking joke to ever come out of reddit).
