yeah bro just move all the military stuff through siberian roads in the winter this is totally plausible
I’m sure Russia has absolutely no contingencies for the US invading via Alaska and never has.
Taking my fleet of hunting helicopters full of bourgeois nature chuds across the bearing strait
I’m imagining a Russian general venturing into some old dusty Soviet archive and finding an entire cabinet full of plans. Lol, plus there are almost certainly bases/fortifications built to counter this.
There is no reason to make a defensive line for this particular area. It is a thousand miles of woods, peats, and mountains. It is territory not worth fighting for.
this guy learned geopolitics from risk and it shows
America would lose 50,000 men just trying to build a road the rest of the way through the Alaskan wilderness
You’re forgetting the part where the entire thing would be a ‘public-private’ partnership where some MiC contractor makes a billion dollars and Chevron somehow ends up with full mining rights to the entirety of Alaska
Great idea, the US should invade some random frozen fucking wasteland 4000 miles from the relevant area. Genius.
Edit: Just for fun, and to help visualize just how stupid this is, I’ve assembled an album of images from the area this person wants to invade. I say, send him in. He’s ready.
Just being stationed in Alaska before the invasion might be enough to make half the army quit.
