Social democracy is objectively the moderate wing of fascism.
They recognise an ideological affinity with fascism. Social democracy is the idea that you can use class compromise to create a welfare state just for the people in one tiny part of the world and only for those people who are deemed “deserving” of help, a welfare state built on the exploitation of the global south. All of this is really closely compatible with fascism.
I remember a couple years ago pepe was literally everywhere and everything was literally a pepe, which included right-wing/fash memes sure, but part of the joke/charm was how versatile the little guy was.
