Turns out that months of brinksmanship only works if you’re willing to commit an army to back it up.
That said, I don’t see the EU agreeing to be NATO’s battleground over this, and I don’t see how the US could intervene and fight a war with Russia without heavy, heavy use of conscription. The western front alone would be 5,000 kilometers long.
