So everyone has covered how Fatman and Little Boy were tiny by modern standards and that just cause the buildings are standing doesn’t mean you’re not completely liquefied inside and all that is true but you know what I find more incredible:
None of these idiots ever think about the impact to the infrastructure. Like…a modern city can only sustain itself because it has shit like plumbing for running water, electricity and gas for heating, and roads and tracks for supply lines for food and other essentials. As many people would die in the immediate blast radius and secondary radius from the fallout you are going to have even more die in the days following just because the sudden traumatic shock to the infrastructure that basically will leave people without basic necessities for god knows how long.
Don’t forget the fires that will burn completely unchecked for god knows how long.
PS: This is the effect of literally 1 average Russian warhead .
Cool, can’t wait to have my organs liquefied in one of those buildings!
hiroshima and nagasaki are the smallest nukes, only rivaled by handheld nuclear fucking rocket launchers, and they did all that
