I’m going to be ranting a lot about this show. It’s trash and I don’t recommend it to anyone, but I’m rooting for Ethan because he seems to be the only normal person. They’re going to fuck it up by making him a school shooter, aren’t they? (do not tell me)
Nothing says “REAL woke” like using “transgender” as a noun.
It’s an occupation. Someone who spends all day transgending at the transgend factory.

It’s a show about how everyone is miserable and disconnected.
It uses the metaphor of high school despite not really being about high school or really about being young.
All the characters are addicts and trying to chase their next high. Rue is the only one who is honest enough to go for the annihilation of drugs. But also, the show itself doesn’t moralize about these addictions as much as other shows. Rue is what she is and her real problem is she able to really find a better way to be aside from switching to a different addiction, love, which ain’t working out great either.
If the show has a statement, It’s “kids are going through some shit.” Or “We’re all addicts to something. “
I’m just tired of the hate it gets for being a weird fantasy.
The Fezco / Ash story arc was the most redeeming part of the show.

Ive only seen s1 so far. It’s like yank Skins but good.
Also the entire cast is way too attractive and it feels a little unreal with the whole these are school kids thing. Like have some pimples or something, shit
