Stardew Valley. The premise is literally built around escaping from a former life to start anew

If you just want to turn your brain off and vibe to a peaceful puzzle game, I recommend dorfromantik. I had a very traumatic near death experience a few years ago, and when I just needed to relax and bring my body out of fight or flight mode or pending panic attacks, that game helped a lot.

The outer wilds.

It’s my go-to rec but for good reasons. I 100% feel it’s a therapeutic game in the general sense of the word.

I like builder games and management games. Against the Storm is a real cozy one that I like a lot. Timberborn, Ratopia, Rimworld and Factorio are also good fun

I don’t know what the definition for a therapeutic game is, but i did find House Flipper to be very relaxing for me.

But also, while not necessarily therapeutic, STALKER Anomaly has completely sucked me in and stolen my life for the past week, good game if you’re looking for a great spooky atmosphere (it’s also completely free).
