One thing about China that is a bit frustrating is their lag on a lot of social issues. The Soviets really were ahead of the curve on every front (at least, rhetorically). The Chinese economic strategy has been a modern miracle, but they’re still just to the left of Michael Bloomberg when it comes to culture.
The rush to industrialize western provinces, the profiteering still rampant through China’s private sector, and the accumulated western race/gender science dogma that still plagues the minds of Chinese bureaucrats has lead to a number of policies that are right in line with Bloomberg’s Business-Friendly governing strategy.
From early era Anti-Mongolianism to modern day sale of CH-4 military drone aircraft to the Saudis, there’s a lot of shit the Chinese leftist doesn’t have to be proud of.

White people love to take credit for their ancestors’ accomplishments but they refuse to accept any of the blame. You can’t have it both ways - either you lay no claim to their deeds or you own it. There is no middle ground here.
