Russia has smeared Pippi Longstocking author Astrid Lindgren as a Nazi as Sweden moves closer to joining Nato.
Posters have appeared in Moscow defaming the Swedish children’s book author Astrid Lindgren as a Nazi. That said, Hufvudstadsbladet(siirryt toiseen palveluun) reports that Finland will likely see similar influence campaigns as Russia attempts to justify its actions in Ukraine.
A Swedish military expert told HBL that Carl Gustaf Emil Mannerheim, Finland’s most famous military leader, and longtime president Urho Kekkonen were likely candidates for smear campaigns aiming to cast a shadow on Finland.
A Russian troll factory has meanwhile set its sights on targets in the Finnish media following a call for action by the Russian Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Greenpeace activists protest at the Helsinki central railway station to stop facilitating the export of Russian coal via rail, hanging a banner “Stop Russian Coal Trains”. (Cargo trains were stopped initially but restarted after clarification that these did not break EU sanctions.) The state rail operator VR agreed with the protestors, saying they are already arranging for these trains to stop.
Damn I’d love a translation this is hilarious. I predict we will keep getting more and more of these interviews as Ukraine loses more ground, they’ll maybe look to blame the US “aid” rather than their own incompetence?
Even if this is propaganda and 50-75% actualy works that together with all the missile strikes on these shipments means maybe 1 in 10 of these actualy get to the front lines and actually gets fired at a Russian tank?
