A transmasc person experiencing dysphoria from hair loss is a different thing from a cis person experiencing distress from hair loss. It has to do with the wider context of what that hair loss represents

Twitter isn’t real life but the ratio Is just another thing that does make me so worried for trans people in this country. I dated a trans women right after highschool (am a cis white man though to be clear) so I know a little bit about how hateful this society can be towards gender expression. Took part in LGBTQ community centers in San Jose as a homeless person back then too around ~2014. It’s so deeply painful that among western imperialism, ecological holocaust, potential nuclear holocaust, and capitalsit exploitations in general so many people are tripping so hard in this country that culture wars have become dominant particularly with trans people. It is largely because of visibility but it’s jarring as I thought most people generally accepted trans people(despite the direct bigotry I’ve experience). Ive been meaning to read Sex And Secularism because the secular puritanical chimera of today’s fascist ideology is definitely deeply rooted in totalizing western bourgeoisie philosophy. Just personally don’t know enough to really articulate that point right now.
