The funny part here is that i’m pretty sure most New Yorkers would gladly participate in the reverse program. Where you trade 1 cop for a dirtbike. Whether the cop gets run over with a bulldozer is optional. The NYPD could even host it as a charity event and plug their “budget shortfalls” which they keep seeming to have.
I don’t understand,what is wrong with dirt bikes.
The city could have offered a voucher to service or upgrade their bike but instead they decided to punish people. I wonder how many people depended on those motorbikes to get around and are devastated that they couldn’t just pay a fine and get it back.
Dirt bikes in NY sound not great. The real evil here is the confiscation of electric bikes from delivery workers, taking away their livelihoods.
What a waste.
