If it makes you feel any better I don’t think this had any impact on the California HSR project. It was always gonna be this decades-long project because that’s how things are in the US.
I really don’t think anyone took the hyperloop thing very seriously when it came out.
We already have elons shitty underground tunnel that does nothing, we couldn’t possibly also build high speed railways. We only had one new idea chip and we spent it on the tunnel
