fascists who complain about modern art are nazis, italian and spanish (and other countries where the fascists didnt win) fascists were quite into modern art because they tried to paint themselves as the futuristic social paradigm, not a return to [some noble parochialism]. and the Nazis followed through with promoting deeply neoclassical bullshit, putting down more modern art, and stealing as much classical art as they could get their hands on.
but anyway socialists did way more modern art than fascists soviet avant garde and social realism-into-socialist realism is modern art and im tired of people trying to gutter the whole category because the CIA funded artists broadly in the same area.
