Yeah they really tell on themselves when they say shit like that because there ARE pogroms going on in Ukraine and we have evidence but acknowledging that deflates their entire fantasy that they have constructed to accept Azov as brave freedom fighters and painting Russia as the more Nazi one because they rolled troops into the place the Nazis were doing pogroms.
These people would have been totally fine with the Holocaust if Germany had never invaded Poland.
I always forget about the shit Ukraine was doing to it’s Russian citizens before the war, they’re literally doing fascist pogroms but it’s fine (trademark) because they’re quasi-western.

That’s the limited hangout version of the truth. The real truth is the west would’ve been fine with Hitler if he had only marched east. That was the reason the English and American industrialists funded his rise to power and helped re-militarize Germany during the interwar period. Fascism was specifically built as a bludgeon to be used against the Socialist East.

I mean, maybe if they never attacked France the western powers would have dragged their feet even more and let the Nazis slug it out with the Soviets for even longer, but I think that as soon as Hitler went through Poland and triggered declarations of war from France and the UK their involvement was locked in. Maybe Hitler could have forgone Molotov-Ribbentrop and attacked Ukraine via Hungary and Romania bypassing Poland, but that would have required getting those then-neutral governments on board with fascism earlier than expected.
