He has to pass some kind of qualification course to keep his license, one that he hasn’t used to treat patients since 2017. He’s framing this as the Canadian state sending him to re-education because he said negative things about Justin Trudeau. He’s such an absolute child. Any brief glance at his twitter would show he lacks the emotional maturity to be a clinical psychologist and that’s the whole issue.
He really is the world’s greatest tantrum artist. He wants you to believe the world’s most oppressed minority is rich white Canadian psychologists with tenure.

BTW the article is a complete journalistic failure in that it doesn’t adress how completely and violently he’s trampled over the medical consensus for treating trans people. It doesn’t contextualize why he would be accused of transphobia, like that he demonizes and condemns all gender-affirming surgery, or that he refuses to show the tiniest bit of respect to trans people and claims he’d be “doing them a favor” by misgendering them. If this journo would take his job seriously, he would have to highlight how egregious, vile and intentionally hurtful Peepeeterson’s transphobia is and how it would make it completely impossible for him to treat any patient who is trans or may be trans, even if they would not go into his practice for a trans-related issue. Therapists like him are active health risks for trans patients and should indeed not be allowed to practice. Their approach of completely denying the clinically proven validity of trans identities at least borders on, if not outright qualifies as, conversion therapy, which is universally condemned as a potentially lethal health risk for LGBT patients by international medical organizations.
Similar things could be said for his views on women and sexual assault. This is a person who has went on camera saying that women just shouldn’t wear makeup if they do not want to be sexually harassed at the office. How can somebody with these views be allowed near any women with a history of sexual trauma? The article never adresses that, either, or his egregious examples of body shaming.
Instead, they give room to his claim that he’s on trial for criticizing Justin Trudeau - i can imagine what he means by that, he means his outspoken public support for anti-vaxxers like the trucker convoi. I think that an article like this should at least mention he’s a full-on plague rat, that may shine some light on his clinical expertise, right? But hey, they do not even mention how he got hypoxic brain damage from an experimental benzo detox at that Russian clinic. It would’ve been so easy to just cut out some of his self-justifications and add a few paragraphs that highlight what a complete and utter quack this guy is.

He only exists because of media fuckups like this. He originally got famous for lying about how a canadian bill that granted trans people certain legal protections against discrimination was going to put people (like him) in the gulag for accidentally misgendering a person once. In reality, it’s for stuff like employers refusing to hire trans people etc, but that didn’t stop ol’ lobsterboy from making a career out of transphobia and benzos.
Also out of maintaining the facade of the respectable academic in the three piece suite. That’s always been front and center in how he’s been presented to gullible libs, even though he’s actually just a complete charlatan who defends medieval ideology with esoteric proto-psychology that was already whacky when Freud was still the hot shit. It’s all just smoke and mirrors and a deep desire of conservative boomer editors to secure their cultural hegemony against all these uppity pronoun people who dare to challenge them merely for being the socially acceptable amount of sexist racist homophobe.
He, of course, went on a swivel-eyed tear about this on Twitter. The ‘…i’ll scream and scream and scream and scream!’ child energy is hilarious.

my favorite thing he did was attempt to get fired from the University of Toronto, despite having tenure. Eventually he quit anyway, but still says he was pushed out by cancel warriors or whatever
