Idk what these are but they’re very pretty

They’re jeombeuls. An archaic kind of cookie that made a thick dough with flour, sugar, butter, maybe almond meal, maybe rosewater, caraway, anise, and stuff.

I was inspired to look them up and make them by IHJC’s post a week ago.

What I ended up doing was 3:1:1 flour-butter-sugar (little lighter on sugar), with a quarter cup of almond flour, two egg yolks, 2oz of rose water, dash of anise extract, and 1 tbsp of caraway seeds, baked at 375 F for 20m.
