I wear a mask but I’m basically the only one I know. And the people I live with don’t wear one at all so I am 100% confident my wearing it is literally pointless.

I see some people outside with masks but it’s those disposable/surgical ones that we know don’t do shit against covid. At that point just don’t wear one lol. I don’t know even if N95 is good enough now but it’s the one I wear.

I never stopped masking and haven’t really gone out almost anywhere since the pandemic began but I was a dumbass for a while just using a cloth mask

Then I got covid for the first time last month and it was such a miserable experience that I decided to up my game by getting a respirator dust mask with replaceable N100 filters

Only downside is now I have to shave more regularly to maintain the airtight seal but the bonus upside is now I get to look like Bane when I go shopping for groceries or pick up a pizza and freak out all the maskless boomers who think things are “back to normal”

I mean no one does it anymore in the general population where I live. Like literally no one. Seen maybe one mask this entire year.

Same. Feels like pissing in the wind

Pissing in the wind isn’t leftism either. Even China couldn’t beat the US covid machine.

I do, I am in close contact with the most vulnerable demographic weekly, and don’t want to catch or transmit it. I’ve also watched a friend have their life destroyed by it, and a family member who recently died of it. 4000 people died from it last week in the US. That we’ve normalized this is appalling.

And surgical masks help, but they aren’t nearly as effective as n95s and such. If you are in a stuffy room with a bunch of people they likely won’t help, but they aren’t completely useless. You just have to take as many precautions as you can to cut down on your risk. If you live with people who don’t give a fuck you might want to get a HEPA air filter, or make a CR box. The less you are exposed to it the better. Early signs are that repeat exposures compound risk of… just about everything… because it’s a virus that can damage all our organs, vascular system, and immune system. I’m not sure why anyone thinks repeated exposures to this for the rest of our lives will do anything but destroy our health?

I never stopped wearing a mask when going out in public anywhere there’s going to be people within 10 feet of me, so pretty much everywhere that isn’t like the local park.

it’s not at all an inconvenience to wear a mask and I personally haven’t been sick at all in like 2 years.

Yeah definitely lucky. I don’t attribute it just to masking up, Im not going out to crowded places often and never stopped taking other precautions either.

Still masking, social distance if possible, do home tests semi regularly. Almost nobody but the oldest ppl here wear masks anymore, and then it’s like 10% of them. Still haven’t caught the rona yet but I’d really rather not chance it.
