You know what’s currently floating over the US and has been for a few days is actually a major danger for American citizens? The big ball of toxic gas from the train derailment. You useless suits should condemn Norfolk Southern you idiots.
So…was that a spy balloon? They have the wreckage now, right? What have they discovered? Just regular weather monitoring shit or actual spy stuff?

They will likely say “we found equipment that could be used for X”; which carefully dances around the fact that sure, lots of weather stuff could be used for something else…
There no way we’ll know any time soon. I’m sure they’ll lie about it and then down the line when the documents on this whole fiasco are declassified we’ll find out it’s exactly what China said it was.
Can’t China put forth a counter claim? Then atleast we’ll have two differing accounts of the contents of the balloon out in public.

All the very few people I’ve seen call out the balloon story for being obviously not a spy one didn’t even say stuff like “there’s so much anti China propaganda”, “we’re trying to get more military funding” but rather things like “China would never do such a brazen act because we can instantly nuke their entire country to dust”, “they wouldn’t dare mess with us, USA! USA! USA!”
It took WWI to bring the Soviet Union into this world. The next-stage of communism will not come about simply because people choose to change their economic system. It will happen because it makes the most sense given conditions. Every grand shift in systems (economic and otherwise) have come about because of massive upheaval and human misery. I’m not saying I WANT that to happen. But let’s be real here, we know where capitalism is headed.
