I was just thinking about how Zelda is the one Nintendo franchise that could actually make for a good animated movie and how bad of an idea it would be to let Illumination make it.
Literally fodder for a good live action film with actual sets and props and shit but nope we need some MCU style zelda slop :cryptocurrency:
Just watch the movie Legend by Ridley Scott as that’s what the original game took inspiration from.
They just did Mario, so I’m not surprised they’re getting the contract for Zelda.
yeah it’s not surprising but COME ON. Mario is a silly little game without much of a story so making a dumb movie for babies is whatever. Zelda should be handled by people who can actually tell a rich story with good characters.
Zelda’s convoluted timeline was the OG multiverse. Your average slop enjoyer is going to love their annoying talking/quipping Link played by Ezra Miller. If it isn’t based off Windwaker I’m not watching it.
Windwaker Link is the only one with a personality, and it’s the perfect one for an adventure film. That’s why the cowards won’t do it.
Zelda’s gonna use a sword and seem like a mega girlboss in the trailer, but then you’ll watch the movie and she’ll immediately get fridged by Ganon and Link will have to save her anyway.
They’ll only do it if the woke critics don’t like it like they’ve done with Mario. Was really weird seeing Crowder of all people defending a movie made for his neglected kids.
