It’s more than mild transphobia. Further down, that user actually states their full position, and spoiler alert: they’re super transphobic. I reported the comment for transphobia, hopefully a mod will nuke it, but it’s all polite and civil in the way it presents its bullshit case using cherrypicked data about puberty blocker side effects, so idk if they will.

Dessalines and Nutomic are usually pretty good at clamping down on bigots, but the they’ve been swamped with an unexpected flood of fleeing redditors right when they were in the middle of a pretty big API change. Between all the dev work and the massive surge in userbase, I’m not surprised some bigots are slipping through the cracks.

I’m half convinced that the widespread adoption of authoritarian as a blanket term was a concerted effort during the cold war to try and make the Soviets and fascists the same in public consciousness.
