Essentially, they don’t like their open registration policy and the increase in users… I have never seen such an argument before but lol.
When the entire purpose of the operation is to control narrative and dictate content, I can see how Beehaw runs into problems when all their shit gets smacked with downvotes as soon as its posted.
Lots of “What’s up with all the Tankies?!” posts that are getting eviscerated in the comments.
I wonder how long until they defederate with lemmy.ml, because you just know it’s coming. They don’t like the “tankie” devs and it’s not even the largest instance any more (and apparently they don’t even care about defederating from large instances given this post), so there’s no way they don’t at some point
I get that the Lemmy stuff is sort of relevant to us but I do wish it was in its own channel that I could unsubscribe from.
Defederating this defederating that unless defederating means removal of feds (possibly by defenestrating) then I really do not care.
Someone explain wtf federating is
If we federate with another site in Lemmy, we could interact with them from the hexbear.net address, from our hexbear accounts, and see their posts on the same page as we see our own posts.
Beehaw seems to not want to federate
Finally something I agree with them on
