I cannot imagine being that optimistic about liberalism, humans, our current financial systems, and bitcoin all at the same time.
The first time I heard about that - I assumed it was mostly a bit. It couldn’t possibly be that stupid. How wrong I was.

One absurd take I remember hearing was ”If you made everyone a millionaire, most of them would lose everything and become poor again!”. ”Poverty is a mindset” and ”the rich are just that much better than us” turbolibbery, and it’s just utter bullshit if you look at how many rich people were fleeced by Theranos and Bernie Madoff (and got on board a deathtrap submarine).

Oh man, the “If you put Jeff Bezos in a minimum wage McDonald’s job, he’d just work his way up and become a billionaire again”. Which, surely then, we could take all their money at least once without it really affecting the world, so we may as well give it a shot.
Well, ackshually, Bill Gates managed to double his net worth after “giving” his wealth to “charity”. Gotcha.
More seriously, someone here once made a good point that if Bezos worked really hard and became a billionaire again…yeah, great, now he has one billion. If he earned that in one year (lol), it’d take him a thousand years to make back his current net worth.
This is why the myth of the bankrupt lottery winner is spread. To show the poors don’t deserve their money.

I’ve had this one directed at me before. I’ve been told a few times that unless I’ve had a dick in my ass I’m not actually queer. Like I understand trying to keep cis straight dudes out of non straight spaces but that sort of purity testing around queerness is absurd
