One said that as a socialist I should support Ukraine because it’s a class war. The workers are the ones fighting in the trenches.

They’re so close to actually getting it just to veer away at the last second.

Funniest to me was: “THEY NEED TO START SHOOTING EVERYONE INVADING THE CAPITOL!”

During the January 6 insurrection by someone who always decries murder and violence. It is apparently fine when the status quo is threatened. Liberals hate violence because it is effective at causing change, and will only advocate for it as a means of stopping change.

Not saying that the confused and “let me speak to the manager” insurrection by chuds was a good thing, but i’m convinced it would not have mattered what flavor of revolt was happening.

When a coworker asked me why I was a communist, I told her that I think everyone should have the right to housing, healthcare, food, water, and other things that sustain life. She said, “See, that’s where I disagree. I don’t believe those things are human rights. You’re not entitled to go to the doctor just because you’re alive, somebody has to pay for that.”

We’re already doing enough work to provide all of these things to each other, but under capitalism the ultimate product of our labor is to instead make a rich person even richer.

Ok, then if not that, then at least block housing and healthcare from speculation. Every time someone “invests” in real estate the make the world worse.

Then why even bother with industrialization?

Why, to streamline profits of course!

Yeah, if somebody just flat out disagrees with the premise that if we have the means to help everybody, we should help everybody, that there shouldn’t be arbitrary price barriers for the sake of price barriers, for the sake of ensuring somebody doesn’t get their needs met, for its own sake - if that’s their stance I still have no idea where to begin.

How do you get other people to experience ego death even once in their lives?

Drugs usually but that also backfires plenty too.
