I’m going to assume that’s not true in the absense of any evidence.
The most I could find on googling this source wise was some indication that the social credit system might incorporate laws against drunk driving as in drunk driving will lower social credit scores
OMG, I can’t believe they’re targeting drunk drivers. Won’t anyone think of these people who put others in danger driving in their hunks of metal
Westerners like to imagine they control people by not letting them travel after they misunderstood the unbelievably mundane “social credit” system that railroads weren’t letting fare evaders buy new tickets until they had paid the fine the previous infractions.
I think they also use it to incentivise giving blood, taking care of elderly relatives as well as a form of punishment for fraud, crypto bullshit and things like that
another aspect of western misunderstanding was imagining multiple distinct systems as comprising a single totalitarian “social credit score”. China has systems that work like normal credit scores and track fraud in business. The stuff about losing your travel privileges was all just about offenses directly against the railroads like smoking in non-smoking sections and fare evasion.
“The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence!”, I say, smugly, as I check my FICO score to see if I am allowed to purchase shelter yet

American people, who are on the Blackist of the finacial credit system, are barred from owning cars and homes.
Now facial recognition and ID are aquired without consent by private companies to sell to the highest bidder. If your identity is being stolen to sell products, no rights for you!
