It’s Saturday morning cartoons to them. The good guys and bad guys don’t actually hurt each other at the end of the episode just in case they have a redemption. The republican politicians always have a way to be good.

Don’t know how serious you’re being, but my come to Jesus moment was a Thor story where he befriended a death row inmate (Thor was serving time in US prison willingly because that’s what heroes do) and on the day of the inmate’s execution, Thor travels across the universe to find a rare fruit for the guy’s last meal.
The dude enjoys it and expresses regret for not having met Thor sooner and the god, with the power to literally destroy planets, lets the inmate (who was a person of color of course) get executed.
In liberal society there’s nothing wrong with what I described. Even Thor respects the process. But then you can’t kill the Red Skull because that makes you just as bad as them.
