This is the kind of outcome to expect from union reform campaigns that center vague ideas of tossing out corrupt people or being “democratic”. Reform needs to center class struggle or most of the time you’ll just get a new guard with basically the same problems. That’s what socialist parties have in the past, it worked well.

And Republicans are going to enact tariffs on Chinese goods while not improving domestic capacity. Atleast with Democrats one could claim they may give tax credits on domestic EVs or whatever (not enough of course). But Republicans love fossil fuels and think EVs are soy, there is zero reason for them to do anything.
