I was chatting with my cousin about China last night - he’s not a leftist; the last time we talked politics he essentially said that he was a Black British right-libertarian Joe Roganite, but he was amenable to me being a communist because I was anarcho-communist - that apparently was the secret skeleton key because it bypasses the programming that “communism = muh biggest gubment”

Anyway I briefly covered the point that the USSR was dismantled by internal and external capitalists, whereas China played the long con and allowed foreign money in whilst retaining overall control of the economy and now their long term plan may indeed be ‘establish global communism once we’re powerful enough that no one can stop us’.

He said that was a ‘mindblown’ moment and that it was both hilarious and true - it made enough sense immediately at least.
