Best one of the three imo, and I liked the first two. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have really good chemistry together. Jokes hit more than they missed, good action too.
Thought it was a nice tribute to all the pre-MCU and Fox superhero films, all that was missing was Ben Affleck’s Daredevil (Though they do reference him at least). Cool that the Deadpool Corp appear too finally.
All-in-all: Fun movie, 8/10
The daredevil joke was funny.
I enjoyed the movie. Most capeshit is just tired now, but this was an entertaining way to spend an hour or two. Plot was stupid, but the jokes and chemistry was good.
Wanted to go see this over the weekend. My kids ended up deciding to see Despicable Me 4: the money grab, so we saw the fucking Minions instead. While watching 40 minutes worth of before-movie garbage, I saw a preview for a Lion King origin film, a Transformers origin film, a Beetlejuice sequel, and one original IP, about a robot who goes feral, which looked kinda interesting. Im fkn tired of origin films, and sequels.
Am I being a boomer by hollering about origin films?
I do not think you could have worse casting than

Channing Tatum as Gambit. But also I’m from South Louisiana so I’m very picky about my cajun accents. His was bad. He did call Deadpool a “couyon”, though, which I enjoyed.
The entire gag was that there was a Gambit movie in development hell for a while and Tatum was supposed to be the lead
Hence all those jokes about how he felt how he felt like he never even had a chance to do anything
People make jokes about actual Cajun accents being indecipherable so I couldn’t tell whether the joke was that his was bad or that they’re generally impossible to understand.

“Who is your dialect coach, The Minions?”
How shredded up was Huge Jackedman?
Did they digitally shrink Hugh Jackman? Short dudes need rep.
