I used to volunteer at the animal shelter, a long time ago, way before I figured out I was a woman.
There were dogs that had “reactive to men” on their cages. I’d still approach em, hang out in the cage, take em for walks. I always laughed that they accepted me and not “other men” but now I gotta wonder if they didn’t just know before I did lol. Apparently, they really were aggressive against men and would nip or back (or bite yikes) it wasn’t just because.
Animals are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. They pick up on social cues so subtle that we don’t even know we’re doing them.
Cats get a bad rap for being selfish, but my disabled mother in law has had our cats pull her out of seizures and sleep paralysis dozens of times. They usually start circling before it even happens too
Birds are the only gender test you can trust.
“Feeemale” chickens can grow spurs and start crowing by the way. Nature does not give a fuck.
Forget trans medicalization, it is time for trans parrotization.
