Panel one: flag of zionist entity, soyjak who represents trans people, the pride flag, Palestine maoists?, Sockdems, Ieland says: Fuck off! I don’t believe in this zionist imperialist nonsense.

Panel two: kurdish flag, same soy from earlier: omg! Wholesome “indigenous” self determination!

Unrelated, but why do all soyjaks wear glasses and have neckbeards, distinguishing a character as bad based on features they can’t control is the same as making a bad character have a big nose.

Technically, one could argue you can control them as you could wear contacts and shave, respectively, whereas you can’t control nose size at all.

Poor self care and discipline while always getting into the business of others?

It feels like a situation where a person can’t even take care of themselves, but demand that they be the arbiter and center of the conversation and morality.

A big nose is pretty much pure race propaganda, but a poor shave and ill fitting glasses is pretty universal.

Well you can argue that a person can just get a nose job

But that’s still innate to a person and pretty unchangeable unless you take extreme measures ( random surgery is not self care). Plus a poor shave is pretty universal, a nose shape is not.

As an aside, what is our actual stance on Israel?

To be clear, I don’t think Israel should be occupying the Gaza Strip, West Bank, etc.

Needs to be liquidated immediately. One of the greatest international failures of the USSR. Amerika reflected.

tirade

I believe we are mainly in unity about this here. No two-state solution will ever work. It has to be one state with social and economic equity between native Palestinians and other inhabitants with Palestinian rule. This is all secondary and even merely hypothetical in the face of the ongoing “settlement” which is displacing, starving, dehydrating, bleeding fucking dry the lives of millions of people. This is all if the Israeli settlers and their settler state grant you the mercy of suffering and do not instead murder you on sight. Women, children, reporters, the elderly, the disabled, other (usually brown-skinned) Jews – the IDF does not discriminate. They will shoot you dead.

Ergo… critical support for Hamas, critical support for Hezbollah, for Iran, for Syria, for the Ba’athists, Pan-Arabists and anyone in their fight against the ongoing imperial project, ongoing open air prison, ongoing genocide that is occurring before the entire world’s eyes and is not being stopped.

To quote an article so otherwise shitty I won’t even link to it, here’s the DPRK’s official stance.

In a statement on Friday, the North Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said “Israel’s horrific crime of killing the bud-like children, yet to be bloomed, is a severe challenge to the future of humankind and a crime against humanity.”

“It is no exaggeration to say that the whole Gaza Strip has turned into a huge human slaughterhouse and a place of massacring children,*” the ministry continued. "*Soon after the end of the bombardment, [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and the Israeli authorities are trying to conceal their crime of killing even the children."

It added that international news outlets are "strongly condemning Israel for continuing to massacre children, pointing at Israel as a culprit of expulsion of Palestinians, illegal settlement expansion and sowing the seeds of hatred by suppressing their peaceful praying ceremony."

North Korea has long recognized Palestinians’ sovereignty over all territories held by Israel, excluding the Golan Heights[…which are illegally occupied Syrian lands – SovereignState]. Pyongyang considers Israel as an “imperialist satellite” that runs counter to its own regime’s anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist ideology. For decades, the family regime of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has sided with Palestinian militant groups including Hamas.

I consider the PRC’s current position on the issue more than a little problematic (disastrous) but understand where they are coming from in not completely severing ties and rallying the international community against the settler project. Still, I consider it a glaring failure of the Chinese socialist project that they find themselves in a position wherein they can’t even denounce genocide occuring before the world’s eyes. This is changing, though I wish it would change more quickly. Genocide is kind of time-sensitive.

The parallels between Israel and Amerika’s settler-colonization projects are more apparent than the differences between them. Internationalists everywhere need to recognize that if they consider themselves serious about decolonization. Self-determination is non-negotiable.

Obviously it’d be preferable if the PFLP or radical factions of Fatah came to govern New Palestine rather than political Islamist groups funded by Iran. It doesn’t really matter, though. Genocide is occuring. The political force that matters most is the one capable of ending it.

Israel is an imperialist nation allied with and supported by the United States. In exchange for intelligence, conducting operations to weaken their rivals, destabilize the Middle East, and lobbying US politicians, the United States uses their influence to protect Israel from international condemnation.

It is imperialist in that it controls not only all land through military power, but also that utilities providers in the region in both Israel and Palestine are controlled by Israeli corporations. The Palestinian government not only has zero bargaining power, and is fractured with the east side acting as lap dogs and the west side having multiple representatives. Through this major imbalance of power, there is hyper exploitation of the Palestinian people, as the Palestinian state is severely weakened.

The only thing keeping the Israeli state in check, is optics, and the will of its people. This is evident by the disparity between the speed of its expansion and its domination over the area. It can easily begin and finish a campaign to exterminate Palestinians but they don’t because the state will then lose support of its people and the international community.

To solve this, class contradictions must be intensified between Israelis and the Israeli state, while being resolved between the Israeli people and the Palestinian people to create a coalition of the proletariat.

Sanctions on Palestine must be lifted. Israel must lose the support of the United States.

Finally a revolution must be held to smash the Israeli state, replaced with a dictatorship of the proletariat and nationalize all industries.

So, I dunno about you guys but my stance is “Israel bad”.

Interesting question, but due to its extreme importance to Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, some of the largest religions the worlds, and the extreme mellenia long dispute between those groups over control of the city; after Palestine is return as a whole entity, would it make sense to isolate Jerusalem as its own independent city state? Or maybe even an international zone administered by the UN?

Thoughts on something like that?

There are a lot of places which might deserve similar treatment. I don’t see a reason to deprive Palestinians of their most important city. I also worry this argument plays into the idea that without international oversight, people in Palestine can’t get along with each other. They did before our interference, and they will do so again once real justice has been done. Just my two cents.

I never did say that this should only apply to Jerusalem, I would be perfectly willing to extend this idea to other massively important cultural sites.

Also I’m not saying that the city would be completely independent of Palestine, or that it would be treated like a separate country, but moreso that the city basically becomes an “Open city” not divided up, controlled by any one faith, or used as a political bargaining chip, and that it’s ultimately authority would be a third party non-beholden to its own biases or agendas. (I just use the UN as an example, I wish there was a better choice)

I’m not saying that conflict is sure to happen and, that it’s impossible for Palestine to figure it out, but why risk it? It’s an extremely hot issue that can lead to a lot of extreme conflict, so why not try to stem that before it has a chance to occur?

What would be the difference between being part of a free and fair Palestine and this “open city” idea of yours? Because the concept of a free and fair Palestine is built on the foundation that people are treated equally regardless of their faith.
