The fact Hexbear and certain instances needing to constantly be addressed by users is extremely off putting. It feels kinda cringe if I’m being honest and my biggest turn off to the threadiverse so far.
I’m not criticizing admins here for needing to make announcements like this but more so the Lemmy community for the never ending lunchroom table instance drama.
The addition of individuals being able to block instances on their own should be a much needed relief from this. This feature can’t come soon enough.
It’s kinda like connecting a sleepy road as a bypass or service road to an incredibly busy highway. I dont blame anyone for being a little alarmed at the monstrous increase of activity all of a sudden
Just start using the block user and block community features. I block shit and people all the time. The cry babies are for some reason averse to it, but you don’t have to be.
