Been working on collecting revolutionary, or at least anti government music. So far I have stuff from:

Immortal Technique (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J7yK1TPkDo)

Sage Francis (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poZz2bKaonM))

Rise Against (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RYBDTnS7dg)

Jedi Mind Trick (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qpcyJ-nse0)

Scroobius Pip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljcqNORe3F0)

Aesop Rock (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tZtish6RPU)

Bad Religion (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12kcpP-8jfM)

Rage Against the Machine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxk3c_SbWMg)

Note: I’m not saying I agree with all these guys politics but their music gets me nice an enraged every time I start to get complacent. Add your favorites

Me and few other people from the old sub put together a Spotify playlist for leftist music that we’ve been regularly updating since:

Feel free to add whatever you like

I believe they are mostly anarchists. The music is instrumental, but the art work, song titles and spoken word passages have a very obvious anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist message. Their last album had these “demands” in the liner notes:

  • an end to foreign invasion

  • an end to borders

  • the total dismantling of the prison–industrial complex

  • healthcare, housing, food and water acknowledged as an inalienable human right

  • the expert fuckers who broke this world never get to speak again

There are vocals in one of the GY!BE side projects, Silver Mount Zion, where the politics are much more obvious and transparent. They’re worth checking out too IMO though the vocalist (Efrim) is an acquired taste.

Their music and samples include lots of left wing themes.

Recommend you start with the Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada EP

I can’t get enough of Bad Religion’s close harmonizing. Best part of their music.

Bambu is a more experimental, less homophobic immortal technique.

The Coup, Rebel Diaz and Dead Prez are all excellent revolutionary hip-hop groups that deserve a place on this list.
