Would you leave the US if you had the opportunity to assuming you have a basic knowledge of the language/culture and a job to support yourself. Where would you go and why or why would you stay?
I would if I could convince my friends to do so as well, I speak Spanish at a 5th grade level so maybe I could go join the Zapatistas or head to Bolivia and hand with Evo.
I actually sold & gave away most of my possessions in preparation to travel in Yucatan mexico then south into central america & south america (Panama and Colombia) to find a place I can rent cheap and teach English as a foreign language, Spanish is ok my wife is near fluent so yes.
I’ve always wanted to visit the yucatan but the mountainous region of central and south america is where I want to live for climate and cost of living purposes, but mostly to be away from america, I’ve lived in 6 different states on both coasts and have traveled extensively within the U.S and the places I could afford to have a small farm dont appeal to me as much anymore and I have 0 desire to live in urban u.s cities.
