it is baffling and confounding that no one realizes that US companies are the state. this isn’t something that one needs to be a Marxist to understand. When they talk about both Google’s and the US’s spying, do libs say “yeah one is just fine but the other one is the scary problem” ? . No but when chinese companies spy, every lib says in unison “and that’s how the CCP spies on you.” Almost like “their profit motive isn’t pure enough for me to trust them b/c they are on orders from the CCP, but US companies are corrupt enough for my trust.”
Can we take a moment to just sit back and appreciate the curtain being pulled on how completely arbitrary and fake the monetary system is as money is handed out here and there to all of us desperate peons… Then sit further back and just really revel in what the world is like right now, the sheer absurdity and madness of it all. It’s horrific and shameful to even have to partake in any of this as the last remaining forests around me are bulldozed for apartments, we really need to remember direct mutual aid and cooperation and self sufficiency to actual live again as dignified humans, because this is just an embarrassment as a society, as a species, as sentient beings…

I heard a story that a lady was doing that, and she accidentally stomped on one of them and the rest went into an enraged frenzy and chewed half her foot to the bone.

A part of me keeps going out of a sick desire to see what happens next. We’re living in a period where the trends are relatively predictable, but the specifics change almost day by day. How exactly will empire collapse? Nobody knows, so don’t touch that remote!
There’s an old joke that you would curse a person by wishing them to live in “interesting times”. Well, this is certainly interesting - but I don’t feel all that cursed. Civilization has a 12 thousand year history, and we get to see what may be the single most interesting portion of that.
