I wonder how 2000 would have worked for me as someone on social security who’s literally not allowed to have more than 2k in the bank at a time without losing my healthcare. What a system eh?
Disappointing, but if you are a ruling class capitalist that doesn’t care if people live or die (and maybe you want people to die, since it’s mostly old people anyway), this is the right call. I know people that would have quit their shit minimum wage covid pit job and just figured it out in March. If you give people relief/aid, who is gonna deliver your take out meal for $4/hr?
