They really don’t care about democracy. They just think their own opinion is correct, rather than the will of the majority.
By democracy i mean the real will of the people - not the farce that American democracy is. Even within the American system Bernie had majority support, but was ratfucked at every opportunity by the establishment that controls the mechanisms.
These people thinking that Bernie, the most popular candidate, should have dropped out earlier so that warren, who is perhaps the least popular candidate, could have won is outside the realm of reality. This is assuming that no ratfuckery would have happened at any stage, which is of course, a fantasy. However, Warren never would have been the “chosen” candidate regardless, it was always going to be Biden.
“She has a plan” was partly so appealing as a line because it was supposed to assure people that the experts (other PMCs) were going to take care of things. It was an invitation to take the burden (and power) of political responsibility out of the hands of regular people and just return to meeting behind closed doors with other professional politicians (and business people) to work things out.

Why would it have made sense for Sanders to drop out for a person he was outperforming? He’s not Pete Buttgieg, lol
